Happenings at the Wiecek Household

Joseph Thomas is 2 weeks old now and is adjusting to his new little life quite well.  He is really content and sleeping well.  The first 2 nights home from the hospital were a challenge, since he wanted to be up all night, but now that he has his days and nights in the right order the night hours are not as bad.  I am thankful it only toke 2 nights for him to switch his days and nights around.  Breastfeeding is going o.k., not great but better than with John.  Joseph latches on real good, but likes to enjoy his meal a little to well, he can breastfeed for 45minutes at one time, and with watching John as well sometimes it makes life a little difficult, so I am pumping and breastfeeding when I am able.  I am finally feeling more normal and back to myself, I lost almost all the pregnancy weight, I had gained 25 pounds, and lost 23 pounds to date.  I am constantly challenged with watching the boys.  John has been pretty good with Joseph besides throwing a truck at him one time which hit his shoulder, and hitting him in the face which woke him up from a nap and startled him pretty bad.  John is acting out a lot, but most of the time he is great with Joseph.  John’s biggest accomplishment happened today, he climbed out of his crib during his nap, more to come on that one! John also fell in a puddle face first with Ted while they were at the park, then rolled in it and put his hands up for Ted to pick him up.   Ted is still working, Thank God!  6 more weeks til I go back to work!
